The 446PRO is the latest addition to the Mitex range of handportables and looks to be yet another first to the professional 2 way radio market with unique ‘scan and trap’ function. The function allows the user to scan the channels and then once a signal is found, the user can activate a further scan to trap the correct sub tone (CTCSS/DCS/DCI); this can then be locked and saved to a new channel. This is a great feature for those people that work at different venues or sites. The radio’s 8 channel 446 capacity certainly leaves plenty of scope for the user. As standard the 446 PRO has 128 channels and fitted with a 7.5vDC 1300mAh battery of about 10 hours battery working time. The Mitex 446PRO also features priority scan which allows continuous monitoring of one channel while still being able to transmit and receive on another channel. The Mitex 446PRO is quite special, retaining all the build and audio quality of the other Mitex two way radios yet packing in so many features and still retailing at a very competitive price. The radio has a lot of appeal to the radio enthusiast and high end user and it is very adaptable. The 446PRO boasts a full 0.5watt power output and comes ready to use out of the box.
